Alba a Varazze

This work is born from an image I have carried within me for years: the sea at dawn.

When the sun begins to rise and reflects upon the water, blue transforms — becoming green, then turquoise, then an indefinable tone between depth and light. It is a brief but intense moment, a suspended instant.

The vertical forms are marine presences, like columns of water or reflections stretched by morning light. They do not represent objects, but sensations — the vibration of water moving slowly, the breath of the sea awakening.

That green-blue tone moves through me every time.
It brings a quiet, steady, almost meditative joy.

It is not euphoria.
It is peace.

It is the joy that arises from looking at the sea and feeling part of something larger.

Varazze is not only a geographical place.
It is a state of the soul.
